Odoo pricing: what does Odoo really cost?

Odoo pricing isn’t just about licences. The real investment depends on your processes, inventory flows, users, integrations, data migration and how Odoo needs to grow along with your business.

We prefer an honest scope over a quick estimate that ends up costing more later. That’s why we first look at your business process and only then at licenses and implementation costs.

When is Odoo worth the investment?

Odoo is especially valuable for organizations that want to improve not only administration, but also operational processes.

  • Companies with around 10 to 200 employees.
  • Wholesale, manufacturing, retail, or service teams with inventory processes.
  • Teams that want fewer standalone tools, spreadsheets, and duplicate data entry.
  • Organizations that want to grow step by step with one central ERP platform.

Odoo license price per user

Odoo Experts works with the Odoo Enterprise Custom plan. We combine this with Odoo.sh, because it provides the best foundation for custom development, staging, controlled deployments, and support. The calculator shows the price including a 20% discount in the first year.

We do not offer standalone implementations on other license variants. For customers with business processes, integrations, inventory flows, or customizations, we deliberately choose Custom in combination with Odoo.sh.

The Netherlands is priced in euros. Aruba and Curacao are priced in USD at $13.60 per user per month. Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Saba and Sint Eustatius are priced at $42.50 per user per month. The calculator applies the 20% first-year discount automatically.

We calculate based on paying backend users, not portal users.

Workers determine how many concurrent requests Odoo.sh can process. As a guideline, we recommend 1 additional worker per 25 backend users and per 5,000 website visitors per day.

An acceptance branch is a safe test environment with a copy of your production data. This lets you test changes separately first; at least one acceptance environment is strongly recommended.

Storage space 41 GB

Automatically calculated with 4 GB per user and 1 GB extra per acceptance branch.

Fixed assumptions
  • Odoo Enterprise Custom as the licensing basis.
  • Odoo.sh as a hosting platform for staging and controlled deployments.
  • Implementation, migration, customization, training and support are aligned separately.

What does an Odoo implementation cost?

A good budget breaks Odoo down into clear components. That way you see not only what you’re paying for, but also where the value and risks are.

Licenses and apps

Odoo pricing is based on users and apps. Which licences you need depends on roles, departments and the functionality you actually use.

Hosting and platform selection

Odoo Online, Odoo.sh, and other hosting choices affect maintenance, custom development, deployments, performance, and long-term management.

Implementation and configuration

Process design, app configuration, testing and launch support often make up the largest part of the initial investment.

Data and migration

Products, customers, suppliers, inventory, price lists and outstanding items must be migrated to Odoo cleanly, logically and in a controlled manner.

Integrations and customization

Online stores, shipping software, payment providers, BI tools, or industry-specific systems can add value, but also require maintainable choices.

Training and support

User adoption, documentation, support, and optimization after launch determine whether Odoo still works well months later.

From question to a realistic price estimate

We make Odoo pricing concrete by first defining the scope clearly. That prevents loose assumptions, budgets that start too low, and surprises during implementation.

1

Brief discovery

We determine which processes, departments, users, and apps are relevant for the first phase.

2

Assess process and data

We assess inventory, purchasing, sales, production, administration, reporting, and existing software.

3

Choosing scope and phasing

We determine what needs to go live first and what is better suited to a later optimization phase.

4

Budget estimate and advice

You get a clear view of licenses, implementation effort, potential risks and logical next steps. If your scope is not ready for pricing yet, we say so.

Frequently asked questions about Odoo costs

The key questions companies ask when comparing Odoo licenses, Odoo.sh, Studio, API access, and support options.

Yes. Odoo Experts works with the Odoo Enterprise Custom plan. The configured license price is €37.40 per user per month for the Netherlands, $13.60 for Aruba and Curacao, and $42.50 for Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Saba and Sint Eustatius. In the first year, the calculator applies a 20% discount. This plan gives access to the Odoo apps within the subscription and is always combined with Odoo.sh, so custom development, staging branches, deployments, and support remain manageable.
The Odoo Custom subscription includes access to Odoo Enterprise apps, Odoo support, e-learning and upgrade services from Odoo. Odoo.sh hosting, implementation by Odoo Experts, custom development, first-line functional support, upgrade consultancy and in-app purchase credits such as SMS, lead generation or document automation are not included in the license price.
We like working with Odoo.sh because it provides the tooling needed to properly support and improve your Odoo environment. It gives access to logs, backups, restore options, staging branches, controlled deployments, custom modules, and development workflows. This makes it easier for us to investigate issues, test changes safely, and keep the system maintainable.
Odoo Studio can be useful for small adjustments, such as adding simple fields or modifying forms and reports. We do advise caution. Complex fields, relationships, automations, and business logic without technical oversight can make future support and upgrades more difficult. If Odoo is business-critical, use Studio deliberately and consult an Odoo expert before making structural changes.
A paying user is usually an internal or external person with backend access to Odoo who can create, view or modify business documents. Employees who manage expenses, timesheets, sales orders or inventory are typical paid users. Portal users, such as customers or suppliers who only view invoices, orders or deliveries via the portal, do not count as paid backend users.
External API means that external software initiates calls to the Odoo API, for example via JSON-RPC or XML-RPC, to read, create, or modify data in Odoo. Examples include legacy systems, reporting tools, or external applications that are directly integrated with Odoo. When an Odoo app calls an external service, such as a payment provider, carrier, VoIP provider, or bank synchronization, that is usually part of the standard Odoo app flow.
Odoo.sh is budgeted separately alongside the Odoo Custom license. The costs depend on the number of workers, staging branches, and storage in GB. For the Caribbean region, we use $57.60 per worker per month, $14.40 per staging branch per month, and $0.20 per GB of storage per month. As a practical guideline, we often start with one worker per 25 users and add capacity for website traffic or heavier workloads. Storage must include production data, staging branches, and backups.
Odoo SA support is useful for standard product questions, but first-line support from Odoo Experts focuses on your specific setup, users, and business processes. We know how your flows, data, customizations, and integrations are set up. That context helps us resolve practical issues faster and recommend improvements that fit how you work.
