Do you want to purchase an ERP system?

4 tips for purchasing an ERP system

If you are looking for an ERP system for a wholesale or manufacturing company, the requirements and wishes are different from those of a business service provider. But there are a number of basic things that every company should look at when purchasing an ERP system.

1. Easy to use

It does not matter how large the ERP system is that you implement. It must be easy to use. If working with the ERP solution is a challenge, using it can become an unpleasant task. If it is that difficult, the ERP system will not be used fully and properly by employees. To avoid such a situation, it is best to choose an ERP solution that is simple and easy to use.

2. Scalability

Companies, customers and suppliers are constantly changing. It is important that, as a company, you can respond to that. To manage this properly, the use of a scalable ERP system is indispensable. It gives you the opportunity to let your ERP Software grow along with the growth and ambition of your company. A robust ERP system is important for every organization. Therefore, choose a Cloud ERP solution where scaling up is easy.

3. Adaptability

The ability to adapt your ERP system to your wishes is a real must-have. Many companies have specific processes and activities that can be integrated into the ERP software without a huge investment. By integrating all your processes into one software solution, you prevent ‘islands of automation’ and inefficiency. So choose an ERP system that you can adapt, but also expand with extra functionalities.

4. The Right Implementation Partner

Make sure you have an implementation partner who can guide you excellently during the implementation, but also afterwards. Putting an ERP system into use is a complicated project that, by using the right people, can be reduced to a manageable, step-by-step process. Properly managing the ERP project is the key to success.
