Odoo Manufacturing
Odoo's Manufacturing app has already been significantly overhauled in previous versions. So in version 15, there are only a few new improvements.
New dashboard for manufacturing analysis
A new manufacturing dashboard has been added. This gives you immediate insight into various metrics of your manufacturing process.
Use variants only for certain components and by-products
It was already possible to use some bill of materials components only for a specific variant. This can now also be configured for by-products and bill of materials operations.
Analytic accounts
Analytic accounts have been added for manufacturing orders. Entries are created for:
- raw material costs (change in consumption)
- work center costs (change based on actual duration on the work order)
By-product cost sharing
Support has been added for the cost sharing of by-products. The value of the by-product can now be calculated as a percentage of the total manufacturing costs.
Mass production serial number registration
If you produce multiple products in one manufacturing order and the products each receive a unique serial number, Odoo 15 has a new option to make that easier. When producing more than 1 piece, click mass production and you can generate all serial numbers at once or paste a sequence into the pop-up.
Master Production Schedule (MPS)
On the MPS, you can now also see the demand for a specific product in the previous year and the year before that.
Odoo Quality
There are now two useful improvements for the employee who performs quality checks on the manufacturing process:
Quality points per product category
Quality points can now also be set for an entire product category instead of for a group of individual products.
Worksheets for quality checks
For a quality point, you can now create worksheets that employees must complete when performing a quality check. The worksheet can be fully customized.
