New receipt reporting for incoming movements

Allocate received stock directly to outgoing deliveries? Inventory that was not specifically purchased for a sale can now be allocated to a sales delivery by applying a dynamic MTO rule. The reporting also makes it possible to print labels directly with information about which delivery it receives is assigned to. You can activate the reporting by making a new setting.

Retrieve product images by barcode scanning

You can now retrieve images of products by scanning the barcode of the product. If the barcode is known, Odoo retrieves the image of the product from Google Images. You can also activate this manually on a product via the action button.

Mass Mailing from deliveries

If it is necessary to send an e-mail to several customers at once, for example in the event of a delivery delay, this can now be done from the warehouse. Select all deliveries and choose 'Send email'.

Reserve the stock in batch

You can now have the stock checked and reserved for multiple deliveries at once, instead of having to do this per delivery in previous versions.

Wave order picken

You were already able to do batch order picking. Now you can also pick orders via 'Waves'.

Inventory counting improved

Inventory counting has been completely changed. When you open the counting screen, you will immediately see all products, after which you can filter and group yourself. A history is kept of all counts. In case of a conflict in the count, due to interim adjustments to the stock, you now have the opportunity to determine how to resolve the conflict. In the stock settings, you can set when the annual stock count should be performed, so that Odoo will point this out to you.

Use of packaging

The use of packaging in Odoo has also been improved. For a package, you specify how many products are sold in one package. For example, six bottles in a crate. It is now possible to:

1. Add a packaging to the sales and purchase order line;

2. Transfer packaging on purchase and sales lines to a production order;

3. Adding a packaging type with dimensions to a package;

4. To deliver only whole packages per processing type or also a partially filled package;

5. Propose the correct packaging based on the quantity entered for a purchase or sales order;

6. To set a specific route per packaging.

Smartly store your stock with storage categories.

New smart storage rules have been introduced in Odoo. Warehouse locations can now have a storage category. In each storage category, we can specify the number of products/packages (of a certain package type) that can be stored at the location. We can also set a storage category on push rules. Now when we apply a put rule, we will find a suitable child of the location, according to the quantity/weight setting on the storage category.

Improved way of reserving stock

In the previous versions of Odoo, stock movements were automatically allocated (free stock was reserved) both when the scheduler was run and when a corresponding stock movement that could allocate a move was completed. This strictness caused problems in prioritizing movements to be allocated. For example, a delivery with a scheduled date far in the future could automatically reserve all inventory if it was created for another delivery that might have an earlier scheduled date. To make this easier, an extra setting has been added to the editing type. The choices are:

1. 'On confirmation' = automatically when new stock becomes available or when the planner is activated;

2. 'Manual' = user must always manually click on the "Check availability" button (planner no longer reserves);

3. 'On date' = automatically when new stock becomes available or when the planner is executed within the reservation date of the transfer. An extra setting has been added to the reservation of stock, with which you can set how many days before the planned date the stock must be reserved.

New dropship routes

Two new standard routes have been added to the scenarios where work is outsourced to a subcontractor, these are:

1. Drop-ship Subcontractor on Order

2. Resupply Subcontractor on Order
   

Receive everything in 1x, but with a deviation

The registration of receipts and deliveries has been simplified. By clicking on 'Set quantities, 'you can copy all ordered quantities as delivered quantity at once. You then only have to correct the deviations.

Replenishment with quantity from the BOM

In previous versions, when creating a replenishment, Odoo calculates the quantity to be ordered using a standard quantity of one or a multiple of one. This has been adjusted for products with a production route. Now the quantity is calculated based on the quantity produced in the BOM.

Link to purchase order and sales order from forecast report

When using replenishment rules (make to stock) instead of make to order lines, there is no clear link between the purchase, sales, and production order. From now on, just like with the sales order, an icon will be displayed on the purchase order line and production order to see what is linked to what via the forecast.

Removal from the nearest location

The starting point is that the only thing that matters when removing products from stock is the accessibility of the product. Then it is better to grab products that are stored on the floor instead of higher levels. In this case, the previous solutions in Odoo were not the most efficient.

Odoo version 15 has a new setting to pick products from the nearest location. Odoo chooses items in the 'smallest' location (in alphabetical order), so Odoo assumes that the locations are ordered alphabetically according to how close they are to the ground. Suppose we have the following inventory:

• WH/stock/shelf 2

• WH/stock

• WH/stock/shelf 1
  

Quantities are viewed in the following order:

1. WH/Stock (due to the shortest name for the same stock)

2. WH/stock/shelf 1 (because of alphabetical order)
   

3. WH/stock/shelf 2
   

Print product labels

A new label printing wizard has been added on the product and on receipt and delivery. Some common formats in PDF or ZPL code have been added.

Decrease quantity ordered

Increasing the ordered quantity has always been possible, but now it is also possible to decrease the ordered quantity for a sales order. If a purchase proposal has also been made, which has not yet been confirmed, it will also be reduced.
